Maybe Def? by Temper

Temper, one of the world’s most collected graffiti and conceptual artists, displays his brand new body of work across the UK with Castle Galleries.

cover:versions is Temper’s fourteenth major collection, which he describes as “the evolution of my art, which will break many records”. The collection is a completely new venture for the artist, which further illustrates his talent and creativity. However, the artist does not forget his roots and his ‘B-Boys’ graffiti style characters, one of his signature styles that have had a presence in his art throughout his career, bring this new collection to life.

Temper says: “I feel now is the right time for both me and Castle Galleries to be working together. I really feel this is just the first chapter in what’s going to be a very creative partnership. I’m known for my photorealism with a spray can, but this new collection explores a completely new medium for me. All I’ll say at the moment is that it’s going to be a time when a lot of records are broken for Temper.”

Temper is completely unique and leads the way when it comes to graffiti and conceptual art. He’s a rare and unique talent with an international reputation. An innovator in his field, nothing like this body of work has been seen before. The collection is as multi-layered as the man himself, littered with symbolism and meaning that only adds to the richness of the narrative. Classic album artwork has been enhanced with insights into Temper as an artist, his history, career and influences.

From Friday 16th of May, cover:versions will premier at a major West End show in Mayfair at Castle Fine Art, Bruton Street, the flagship gallery in the Castle Galleries group, where the original artworks will be available to purchase.
