About

Welcome to the Fold…

Fold Gallery London is a new commercial exhibition space showing both London-based and international artists. Its founders, Kim Savage and Sharrine Scholtz, aim to provide opportunities for artists to exhibit their work and engage with a community brought together by the gallery.

Located in the heart of the progressive East London art scene, Fold Gallery features a sparse, purpose-built and flexible space specifically geared to showing the work at its best. The gallery offers the viewer the best possible environment to encounter and experience new art.

For our inaugural show, we are pleased to bring together a number of emerging artists whose varied and exemplary practice embody the directions the gallery will pursue in the future.

These artists, who originate from Belgium, Holland, America, Ireland and England, share a dedication to the processes of making the works, emphasising the physical dimension as much as the visual. Their works are not created solely for quick display but also reflect each individual artist's ongoing concerns.

This is the characteristic within contemporary art that we will continue to support and curate in the future, as the programme unfolds…
