This course will provide you with a good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects including: interface layout and tool set; integration with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; utilising bitmaps; vector graphics; and alpha channels. Using these tools you will have the opportunity to create an animated logo of your choice within a 3D space. Following this, you will develop a title sequence animation for the opening of a fictional film of your choice, utilising text and video to create a composite. Throughout the course you will be introduced to the fundamentals of colour grading and colour keying for utilising green screen footage. You will also gain an understanding of screen resolutions and correct export settings for both professional video formats and web formats. Topics Covered Interface layout and tools Scaling, opacity and position attributes Keyframes Animation presets, dissolves and transitions Resolutions and pixel aspect ratios Creating a composite images using green screen footage Colour correction and image manipulation 3D text animation Course Outcomes You will have developed the skills required to create title sequences for your video work or for creating animated logos for your website from scratch in Adobe After Effects. You will also have gained a detailed knowledge of how to create motion graphics without the use of pre-made templates. Who Should Attend This course would be suitable for video artists, filmmakers, graphic designers and graphics professionals. Previous experience of graphics software programs such as the the Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial, but not essential. Please note this course is taught on a Mac computer.
