About

Manfinger is a narrative-free documentary film that looks at the theme of internal tensions between commercial success and rebellious expression in the music industry, by following the discourse between a group of art students who are planning a music festival. The film is put together using several different sources from the South Wales rock scene of the 1970s: band fanzines, TV documentaries, interviews and stories from the public. Manfinger is filmed on location in Swansea in collaboration with, Black Kettle Collective, Gorseinon Day Service group and students from the Royal Art School in Den Haag, The Netherlands. Maria Pask is a Welsh artist based in Amsterdam. A Glynn Vivian Offsite exhibition, supported by a grant from the Mondriaan Foundation in partnership with Elysium Gallery and Dylan Thomas Theatre. All events are free. Everyone welcome, no booking required. Gallery open Wednesday — Saturday, 12 — 5pm. This exhibition takes place at : Elysium Gallery, 16, College Street, Swansea, SA1 5BH.
