The Apiary presents 'Feline Glitch' New Work by M.K.Hauser.

About

The Apiary is pleased to present 'Feline Glitch', the debut solo show of London based artist Miklos K. Hauser. It will feature his oil paintings on ACM panels, including drawings and prints. The opening reception of Feline Glitch will be held at the Apiary Studios on November the 27th, 2013 from 6-22pm. The opening will include live concert performance by Hugh Metcalfe (Klinker) and by Christos Fanaras and Shenggy Shen taking place at 8:30pm.

In his work Miklos K. Hauser attempts to examine the very subtle knock on effects of digitally affected images, and the effect they in turn have when transposed with thin washes of oil onto aluminium frames.

The compositions were created from images collected on Google, then manipulated further on Photoshop, at times combining several cats into one. Hauser is interested in the public's insatiable appetite for all things cat related, 'the word cat brought up 1,400,000,000 results on Google almost taking on pornographic proportions.'

Hauser has also drawn attention as the creative force behind avant-garde art rock group Agaskodo Teliverek, lauded by the late John Peel. They have released several albums, toured across Europe, performed at The BBC?s Electric Proms and jammed with Damo Suzuki of Can. He has also spent the last decade working as a Painting Assistant to Bridget Riley.
However is only within the last year that Hauser has decided to pursue his personal painting.
