Wundercamera will bring together photography of the world's museums and galleries to offer an illuminating view of the ways in which cultural venues display their works — and how visitors behave around them. This exhibition will present a range of images by a group of international artists which explore the art of the curator through the medium of photography. The resulting photographic ‘museum of museums' will provide an arresting visual experience by re-presenting the re-presented. The works in the exhibition focus on different aspects of the museum and gallery experience, from the development of exhibitions, through to examining individual artworks or the behaviour of visitors interacting with the space. The group exhibition is complimented by a site-specific installation in the house where Sir John Soane's eclectic collection of art and antiquities (now housed at Sir John Soane's Museum) will be returned photographically to its original home.
