About

NIKA NEELOVA | SCULPTURE SHOCK 2013 | ROYAL BRITISH SOCIETY OF SCULPTORS
The Royal British Society of Sculptors is delighted to present a new site specific installation by NIKA NEELOVA, winner of the HISTORIC section in this year's Sculpture Shock awards. Using objects which have a history in another context, Neelova transforms them in her enigmatic and complex installations which challenge the viewer to change the perception of their original purpose while maintaining a sense of their past in what Neelova refers to as 'the historic memory which is embedded in materials.'
Holy Trinity Sloane Square, Sloane Street, London SW1X 9BZ
Exhibition open: November 15th-18th 2013 (open weekdays 9.00-5.00pm, Saturday 10.00-5.00pm, Sunday 9.00-4.00pm)
FREE
Sculpture Shock encourages surprising site-specific spatial interventions in non-traditional spaces, outside the confines of the white cube. For more information see www.sculptureshock.rbs.org.uk / @sculptureshock / 020 7373 8615
