About

Installation by Harry Sanderson, featuring video works by: Hito Steyerl Clunie Reid Melika Ngombe Kolongo and Daniella Russo Maja Cule Takeshi Shiomitsu With exhibition texts at the gallery, by Eleanor Weber and Michael Runyan. Please join us for the opening, on Tuesday 15th October, 6-9pm. Unified Fabric is a render farm, sound piece and collection of video works. This project has been initiated by Arcadia Missa for the '(networked) every whisper is a crash on my ears' programme - stemming from previous work and conversations with Sanderson, and specifically his text, 'Human Resolution', for Mute Magazine, 2013. A render farm is a super computer, typically used for rendering Hollywood animations, the 'farm' in Unified Fabric is self-built by the artist. Harry Sanderson's work interrogates the material reality of digital technology and labour behind the image. Recent exhibitions have included Faraday Cell with Yuri Pattison at SPACE, Human Resolution at Arcadia Missa, and Frieze Projects - LuckyPDF TV. A recent talk on the project was held by Transmediale (ReSource 006) in Berlin, September 2013. http://harrysanderson.com/ Supported by The Arts Council of England Thanks to: Transmediale, Post Media Lab, Common Practice Video Network, and Mute Magazine Image courtesy Harry Sanderson & Arcadia Missa 2013.
