A solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Maja Vrzina

About

Maja is a self taught painter and sculptor and studied the craft of gold leaf gilding under master gilder David Duncan. Maja works with black ink and acrylic on large white canvas set within bespoke hand gilded gold leaf frames. She also applies this gilding technique to her sculptural pieces. In XXXIX Maja explores the extremes of human nature, heavily influenced by the personal and sometimes tragic events that have shaped her life. Art is precious, gold is precious, life is precious.
