Fort-Da: Four Performances, Part 2 — William Hunt

About

William Hunt constructs Mobile, a giant mobile installed in the Roof Studio that supports the weight of five performers suspended in the air. The performers can move with great freedom, soaring acrobatically, controlled by a weight passed between them their success depends on whether they choose to cooperate with, or antagonise, each other. This performance is part of Fort-Da, a season of ambitious performance works at Siobhan Davies Studios which probes the boundaries between performance art and dance. Curated by Ali MacGilp, Fort-Da presents works by four leading performance artists that experiment with choreography to resolve situations of social conflict. This event is part of South London Art Map's Last Fridays. Elsewhere in the performance season you can see performances by choreographer Joe Moran on 27-28 September, and by performance artists Mark Wayman, Adrian Lee and Adam James on 26 October. You can also take part in a salon on 25 October bringing together artists, curators and dancers to discuss the relationship between dance and performance art practices, and hear Fort-Da's curator, Ali MacGilp, in conversation with William Hunt, on 12 November. Performance Details Fort-Da Fri 29 Nov, 7pm William Hunt: Mobile Free entry. Book on 020 7091 9650
