To escape is to break free from or elude confinement. Yet in our free society, why is recreational escapism becoming more of a necessity? If we really are free, then why do we feel the need to escape? Where does this need come from and where are we trying to get to? The group exhibition GETAWAY, showing at Studio One Gallery, presents six artists who consider these questions.
