Garden of Adonis: dinner event

For the final event in the Museum Restaurant dinner series, Tate is collaborating with London-based artist Gayle Chong Kwan. For this unique artist dinner Gayle invites guests to create an artwork together in the form of a communal sensory ‘Garden of Adonis', through sharing dishes cooked using herbs and spices grown in local community gardens, which is based on the role of spices and sensuality in the ancient Greek Festival of Adonia, and the culinary history of her own Scottish and Chinese-Mauritian heritage as well as the Tate chefs with whom she is collaborating. Guests will each receive a specially created limited-edition artwork - a ‘Garden of Adonis Award of Merit'.
