Alexis Harding 'In Progress: Works from the Studio'

The exhibition 'In Progress' allows the viewer to gain some insight into what it is like to be in Alexis Harding's studio. Recent and older works are juxtaposed with a new series of broken spot and text paintings. The embracing of these beginnings and ends runs parallel with Hardings obsessive research into the time based finish of a painting. After years spent disrupting and exploring the structure of painting, this show reveals Harding opening up a new, speedier, more liberated discourse within painting; one in which many different images are being used at the same time. The exhibition will then run from 2nd August until 12th September.
