Painters and Printmakers in the Welsh Borders

About

Exhibition of Paintings and Fine Art Prints by Local Artists including Juli-Anne Coward, Barry Herniman, Ronald Moore and Ursula Prosser Herefordshire and the Welsh Borders have long been an inspiration to artists, attracted here from all parts of the United Kingdom and beyond, as well as nurturing local talent. Many are moved to create images of the area and we are pleased to be able to celebrate this through the work of a small group of artists who spend time painting, drawing or fine art printmaking both in and of the countryside and the urban areas. As part of h.Art (Herefordshire Art Week) we are holding an exhibition entitled 'Herefordshire and the Marches' to reflect the many moods, facets and interpretations of this beautiful county and its surroundings. During h.Art, 7th to 15th September we shall be open 9.30 to 5.00 each day. A selection of work can also be seen at Castle House Hotel in Hereford. A garden exhibition of sculpture by Sally Grant from the Forest of Dean will accompany this exhibition. Apple Store Gallery are also sponsoring Herefordshire Young Open. The exhibition, which is also part of h.Art will run at St. Peter's Church, Hereford from 7th to 30th September and features work by young artists who live, work and/or have studied in the county.
