Clare Willard's work has evolved through an eclectic background covering anthropology, textiles, public art and print. The binding force is an indomitable passion for colour and pattern. She makes hand-constructed, one off and limited edition pieces, assembled with a palette of coloured laminate and wood. Work is tailored to the small and intimate, or scaled up to produce striking architectural installations. A constantly evolving visual language transforms the materials into an unusual and eloquent vehicle for colour and line.
