A multi media labyrinth of different sensory states presented by Fabelist Collective

About

syn·es·the·sia This Ancient Greek word, whose roots mean together (syn) and sensation (aesthesia), forms the inspiration for Fabelist's summer group show. Between 22nd August and 1st September Unit 3 Projects (Empson St, E3 3LT) will be transformed into an immersive world of specially commissioned painting, text, music and sculpture as nine emerging and established artists magnify their sensory responses to the world around them. Fabelist is an interdisciplinary platform for contemporary visual art, writing, performance and debate, founded by its director Francesca Goodwin in 2011. Projects generated by the collective have been featured at The Serpentine Gallery Project Space, Rivington Place Gallery, Grays Antiques, The Arch Gallery, The Other Art Fair and The Box Park. Fabelist embraces diversity of practice as a point of connection, making collaboration and connectivity central to its ethos. This diversity is reflected in Synaesthesia and The Senses, in which artists work both alone and in various constellations. Nevertheless each piece addresses the ways we all make our mark on the landscape of our daily lives. Works by: Nicola Anthony, Leszek BŠ â€šyszczynski, Abigail Box, Polly Bagnell, Zoe Catherine Kendall, Rachelle Allen Sherwood, EC, Paul Doeman and Joshua Vaughan Creative Director: Francesca Goodwin for Fabelist www.thefabelist.com
