A rattling machine will greet your arrival at Debut Contemporary when Angelika Steiger introduces her spatial installation ‘Shaken'. Angelika has an MA Fine Art from Wimbledon College of Art and works in different media. She is particularly interested in making moments visible when one situation transforms into another creating unknown energies. With ‘Shaken' she melts art and science. Her Gyrotory Shaker was being used before by an agrochemical company for mixing substances, and now she takes it out of context into an art gallery with the sole purpose of shaking silica gel on a perspex tray. A process of endless possibilities.
