Metamorphosis - Eve Shepherd SPS ARBS Solo Show7. Sep - 19. Sep 13 / ended Saffron Gallery
10.00 - 17.00 Monday-Saturday
Eve Shepherd’s solo exhibition Metamorphosis in September will launch the Autumn season for Saffron and will be a celebration of Eve’s 20 years as a professional sculptor. Though still in her thirties, Eve has already won many awards, has her work collected on every continent and has been compared to the great Rodin. The exhibition will include several new bronzes and unique ceramic sculptures and, with a waiting list for Eve’s new work, promises to be a show not to miss.
Eve, predicted to be “one of the greatest artists of our time” by Professor Anthony Stone, President of the Society of Portrait Sculptors, says:
“Science has shown that there is only a marginal DNA shift between humans and our animal brethren. Indeed it could be said that at certain points of history we have proved to be more ‘animal’ than animals. It is this closeness to our primal ancestry, which I have attempted to depict in the sculpture selected for this show at Saffron. Revealing the Beast or Angel within, I draw inspiration from psychology, mythology, history, ancient sculpture, and everyday life; in an attempt to make work which has been described as emotional, soulful, dramatic, passionate, moving, thought-provoking and tender.” Eve Shepherd
During the exhibition Eve will present a talk titled '20 Years in the Making'. Please contact the gallery on info@SaffronGallery.co.uk for more information.
