Kasia Tracz - 'Between Dream and Reality'

‘Drawing and painting was always significant in my life. I am an architect; I was trained in perspective and geometry. It helped me to observe the environment with transparency of its surroundings and transfer what I see into my art. I apply this approach to part of the works presented in this exhibition. There is also more liberal part of my works represented by excursion into abstract form. For me an abstract painting is a link between my emotions and reality, a way to convey my feelings to the world. I express my desire, sadness or joy through use of colours and shapes. Some works illustrate past, some show the dreams of the future. The process of expressing deeply buried dreams through painting fascinates me. It is almost like a tool to support realization of my dreams and a subconscious step forward for them to materialize.' - Kasia Tracz
