19th July 2013 - 21st July 2013 7-8pm As part of SIT|EV, over three days Alex Cecchetti directly summons three different 'exhibitions' where new configurations of works and installations are created from the invisible. Cecchetti describes the work as ‘a multiple experience of serendipity and simultaneity that tries to reply to one single question: do invisible things see visible things?' Unfolding through techniques of rhetoric, dance and collaboration, each day the different elements of the exhibition are reconfigured to produce different stories. Although not essential, spectators are invited to attend each day to gain the most from the experience. THINGYING FRIDAY 19 JULY, 7pm 'Lack of Imagination' - presenting a collection of works stemming from the artist's lack of imagination THAT THING SATURDAY 20 JULY, 7pm 'Gapworks' - bridging works that have very little formal relation WITH THE THINGUM SUNDAY 21 JULY, 7pm New works THINGYING THAT THING WITH THE THINGUM is part of SITUATION|EVENT (SIT|EV), a 60-day programme exploring live, durational and participatory contemporary art practice, bringing audiences in direct contact with the process of art making as it unfolds.
