The blazing summer months along Regent's Canal open their doors to The Artist Dining Room hosting an evening inspired by American visual artist Barbara Kruger. Through an inspired menu* for the senses, visual displays and guest hosts for the occasion Alice Tatge & Therese Steele, diners will uncover worlds of feminism, consumerism and desire. BYOB Barbara Kruger was born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1945 and lives in New York and Los Angeles. With a background in design, Kruger's layering of found photographs and glossy magazine images with pithy and crisp text, have a trademark black letters on strips of red background. Her work continues to explore notions on feminism, classicism, consumerism, desire. As well as exhibiting in museums and galleries worldwide, Kruger's work has appeared on billboards, buscards, posters, a public park, a train station platforms. *The Artist Dining Room is a creative collaboration with Chef Matthew Phelps of Funthyme Tickets - £36.50/person - from July 1st 2013 £31/concs.** ** Student Discount: %15 off standard tickets.
