Ricardo Basbaum and Massimiliano Mollona will stage a collective-conversation event, inviting attendants to talk, read and write together. All contributions are recorded, capturing differences in accent, language, pronunciation and tone, as well as the different ideas and opinions on the topics proposed for discussion. The event will produce three outcomes: 1) a script document comprising the text content of the conversations and performance instructions for reading; 2) a public reading performance of the script to an audience (including refrains, choruses, dialogues, parallel and simultaneous readings, translations, improvisations etc.); and 3) a sound piece of the audio recording of the reading, which will return to the gallery space as a discursive sonic layer that mediates the access to the work. All are welcome to join and collaborate in the first London collective-conversation.
