About

The debut exhibition by Joseph Black, 1901, (named in reference to the exhibition ‘Becoming Picasso: Paris 1901'), consists of a collection of new works by six emerging young artists. Each work aims to be a meditation on modern society exploring concepts of reality, necessity and permanence and in doing so proving that traditional artistic media remains as strong and as powerful as ever. Varying from poetry to painting to sculpture the differing technical completion of each work acts as a testament to the individual introspection and conclusions each artist draws on the philosophical questions of life. Including works by: Daisy Bradley Ed Hadfield Ben Reader George David Rouy Rachel Bethany Walker The exhibition also appears in the Whitechapel galleries 'First Thursday's' event for late night exhibitions in London's East End. http://www.firstthursdays.co.uk/galleries/arch-402 Find out more about the exhibition here: https://www.facebook.com/events/680648278627469
