This month marks the 4th birthday of the opening of Stour Space, so it is perfect timing to celebrate the work of Co-Founder and Chief Designer Neil McDonald.‘Snickarglädje' is the name given to the intricate wooden adornments added to a building as its finishing touches. This collection of retrospective and current works aims to satisfy a personal journey of the artist: from the creation of Stour Space — a public art gallery, creative workspace and social enterprise venue, to his subsequent relocation to rural Sweden, a new studio and the next step in his own artistic direction. I am fascinated by notable moments in time that can progressively be captured to inspire or reflect upon and I find that this presents itself beautifully through natural or found objects
