Helen Chatterton is a Liverpool based textile artist specialising in cushions, scarves and lavender bags. Helen creates a selection of textiles including Harris Tweed and other wool sourced from the Scottish Highlands. She combines these with French velvets, cotton lawn, Liberty print fabrics as well as linen she has had specially printed with a 19th Century map of Liverpool. Her favourite periods in history are the Nineteen-twenties and -thirties. Many of her colour-ways reflect these period themes, focusing on the juxtaposition of colour. She finds much inspiration when sourcing new fabrics.
