About

Slow Art Day is a worldwide celebration of art that encourages people to look at art SLOWLY — and thereby experience art in a new way. Together with more than 151 international art venues, the Zabludowicz Collection celebrates the experience of looking at art using a slower pace. Join us at 2pm on Saturday 27 April to spend time looking at ‘Untitled (9 ½ weeks)', an artwork made by Albert Oehlen, consisting of the 1986 Hollywood film ‘9 ½ weeks' projected over ‘Nr 9', a semi-abstract painting. Oehlen says of the work ‘You want to see the movie and you forget about the painting but actually you stare at my painting for an hour and a half and it is burned into your eyes' (taken from Painting from the Zabludowicz Collection: Part I exhibition leaflet). Not suitable for under 18's.
