Open Studios + Group Exhibition

VIEWART/BUYART/MEETARTISTS: Seventy-six talented creatives will be participating in this summers open studios. You could talk to Myung Nam An about how she creates her beautiful ceramics, discuss mosaic technique with Rebecca Geary, colour mixing with Elke Counsell, or installation with Adeline de Monseignat just to name a few. Many artists will have commission free work for sale and there will be a group show, curated by Mia Pfiefer in The Simulator Gallery. LIVEMUSIC: Joe Asher, Joanne Postlewaite, Columbus Giant and Theo Gordon will be play live from Saturday afternoon at 3pm. There will also be a bar and BBQ. CAFà‰: There will be tea, coffee and gourmet baked goods available throughout the weekend. FILMSCREENINGS: Join Shift Key Films in a screening of the multi-award winning documentary ‘Rules of the Game' or catch the special screening of Capriol Films latest work ‘Benjamin Britten - Peace and Conflict'. SILENTAUCTION: Laurence Causse-Parsley, Rebecca Geary, Vielma, Katie Leamon, Tom Leamon, Yuliya Krylova and Edwina Turner have each donated a piece of their work to the silent auction. All money raised will go to local charities. LIVEPAINTING: Helen Campbell will be having a life model in her studio on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
