3 MAKERS - An exhibition of new ceramic art

About

3 Makers is a celebration of sculptural ceramics displaying a diversity of practice. Ian Byers, Amanda Doidge and Raewyn Harrison handle clay thoughtfully, with wit and skill to provoke, intrigue and seduce. Bringing together both emerging and established artists, this insightful exhibition will demonstrate the scope clay has as a material for artistic expression. Accompanying the show are two talks, exploring ceramics in a wider context. Keith Harrison, (selected exhibitor at the ‘Jerwood Open 2011'), will be talking about his exciting live performance pieces including his recent clay speakers destoyed by sound! Bonnie Kemske, editor of ‘Ceramic Review' and ceramic artist, will talk more broadly about new developments in ceramics and its status both as art and craft today.
