About

DAYDREAMS 24th April — 4th May The Brick Lane Gallery, E16HR Preview: Wednesday 24th April 6 -8.30pm JUDGE |CLAUDIA BLAESI |CHRISTIE ALMOND|DOMENICO MAZZILLI| JACK HARDWICKE| JADRYK BROWN |GAIL FRANCIS-TIRON |AGATA BALTYZAR |SASA SAASTAMOINEN |RODRIGO BENATTI The Brick Lane Gallery is proud to present DAYDREAMS, the sixth Art in Mind open-call curated exhibition of 2013. The Exhibition features the work of several national and international artists such as Polish born Agata Baltyzar whose work echoes the magic realists in their stark and disquiet settings; and Gibraltar born painter Gail Francis-Tiron who will be exhibiting her Neon Skyline series showing expressive and evocative city-scapes, proving her motto that paintings should brighten a room even if they are of catastrophic events. Rio de Janeiro born Rodrigo Benatti will be showing both his skills with the camera, and with the pencil through his monotone photography and illustration. Spray paint and newspaper artworks by Manchester street artist, Judge, and the bright and bold abstract expressionist works by German artist Claudia Blaesi, will be amongst other works in this electic exhibition. Jadryk Brown's biro work takes on an interesting process as he ‘works back into his works through the use of tearing, staining, burning and layering surfaces'. Christie Almond's works take on a highly evocative and captivating tone from her ‘Mother Mary' subject matter to her unsettling poker face, all in dark and edgy outline. From the abstract digital and photographic works of Jack Hardwicke to the Italian Veteran, Domenico Mazzilli's Chagal, Matisse, and Picasso inspired mixed media works, the exhibition DAYDREAMS is sure to hold something for every visitor. Art in Mind is an open-call exhibition programme offered to artists working in all mediums from all corners of the world. These regular exhibitions offer professional support to artists and helping them make invaluable contacts and opportunities in the art industry. We welcome submissions from artists worldwide and you can exhibit with us as many times as you like - we give you the opportunity to present your latest works in our professional London gallery any time you wish.
