For his first solo exhibition in London, Mike McMillin presents three new works at Horatio Jr. Two sculptures and one text piece will be on view in the upper and recently expanded lower space of the gallery. Mike McMillin's sculptures are scaled re-interpretations of architectural elements. Understanding the built environment as a combination of structural and decorative parts, he reinterprets those parts and presents them as sculptural objects. The text work is a hopeful statement about everyday events and observations. Knowing that every act of seeing, can (and does) lead to a greater understanding of the world and our place within it.
