Everything about Pop up

POP UP W/E is a special weekend dealing and examining the phenomena of “Pop up”.
Why do empty spaces still exist in London, a city which desperate for new spaces? How can WE use these temporary spaces for our advantage? Why and in what means an empty space can be protected? And how can one get a hold of these kinds of spaces?
The W/E seminar will include a series of talks around the topic and will explain the different use of empty spaces and how they can became useful again.
Also, there will be dance performance by Gypsy Koreartist Sukjin Kim, fashion show and installation Eva Di Franco, exhibition by Dygoro Sasaki and a pop up hairdresser salon .
Speakers includes representatives of leading organisations focusing on the protection and use of empty spaces such as Meanwhile, Ad Hoc Property Management, Popuplondon, Popupspace as well guest speakers from local authorities.
Who should attend?:
- Property owners (private and public) who are looking to protect or temporary use their empty properties;
- Individuals and organisations who are looking for an empty space or for an advice on meanwhile projects;
- Anybody who is interested in transformation of empty spaces
- Artist who would like to run pop up project for exhibition, shop etc
The event is also a networking opportunity where landlords, organisations, potential users and agents can network and exchange ideas, experience and contact details. This is a free event except for special events.
