Artisan gets 'Focused' this Spring
artisan, NW10's most creative corner welcomes spring by getting ‘Focused’. Since its launch in 2009, artisan continues to attract attention in North West London. The role of the gallery is to create a space which offers an opportunity for artists of many disciplines to showcase their work. artisan’s success has been its ability to keep changing and offering something different each month. This month Lori Heiss will cover the walls with her beautiful and thought provoking photographs.
Photography is a medium which Lori has always loved, but not something she ever concentrated on seriously until recently. Capturing a moment in time, distinctly from a personal perspective, is something that fascinates her. Looking at the world through a lens is something we all do, but do we always take the time to truly see. What Lori finds most satisfying is capturing a snapshot, a frame, of beauty and focusing on the geometric shapes, the balance and the light that is created in that moment. She saturates the colours and exaggerates the light to heighten the beauty and this in turn creates something that is suddenly closer to art than reality.
