Emilia Maryniak - (non)objects

The tensions between lines, shapes and colors create a form of existence of an undefined object in an undefined space. This existence is a deeply intimate internal state, inseparable from a feeling of alienation, yet still belonging to the common human realm of feelings. It is a fugitive condition beyond time, although it comes back to us through time - in colors, sounds, fragrances. It is a suspension which enslaves, purifies, enthralls and liberates.

Emilia Maryniak was born in Poland, 1982.
Graduated from College of Fine and Visual Art in Warsaw and from the Institute of Art History at the University of Warsaw. Continuing education at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London.

She’s analysing an organic, abstract painting, which often refers to the geometrical and non-geometrical floral forms. She’s also creating spatial objects made of the living vegetation.
