Walk On brings together a diverse group of artists who undertake journeys on foot as a means to creating work.

The act of walking can serve many different purposes: negotiating everyday life, as a means to an end, or purely as an exercise to free up our imagination.

'Walk On' brings together artists who make works by undertaking a journey on foot, and this exhibition shows how walking has been the inspiration for artists over decades. Whether making a mark on the landscape itself or mapping and tracing daily journeys, the works in the exhibition share a common and simple starting point: the act of taking a walk.

EXHIBITING ARTISTS: Marina Abramovic; Francis Alys; Tim Brennan; Atul Bhalla; Janet Cardiff; Rachael Clewlow; Mike Collier; Chris Drury; Hamish Fulton; Tracy Hanna; Tim Knowles; Richard Long; Melanie Manchot; Julian Opie; James Hugonin; Ingrid Pollard; Simon Pope; Plan B; Brian Thompson; Richard Wentworth; Wrights and Sites; walkwalkwalk; Jeremy Wood
