About

Open Eye Gallery will host Chinese artist Fan Shi San to talk about his series ‘Two of Us' on Thursday 31 January. Fan Shi San's work explores the identity formation of people born in China since the introduction of the one child policy (a population control measure that applies to married, urban couples, in place since 1978). He will be discussing his motivation behind the project, the technical side of his practice and the political context in which his work is based. This is a free event, but spaces are limited. To reserve your place email info@openeye.org.uk or book online www.openeye.org.uk 'Two of Us' forms part of our current exhibition, A Lecture Upon the Shadow, which is showing until 17 February 2013.
