Silvia Gentili | Kanstantsin Sukhotski
Gentili's signature self-photos take the study of performance to a more conceptual layer, revealing stories that are at once personal and political, magnetic and repulsive. Based in London, after studying anthropology at La Sapienza University of Rome, she graduated in photography at IED, European Institute of Design. She defines her images as ‘still performances’, merging photography and body-art to inspect human nature through the flesh and soul of a woman. She has exhibited in various solo and group shows, the most recent being in Paris, at The Festival Theatroom, Les Entrailles des Villes, in December. www.silviagentili.com
Sukhotski is a photographer based in Belarus, presenting a series illustrating everyday life in Biaroza, taken for this exhibition. What is routine in a small town's present, seems to be an anomaly of a past never experienced in the eyes of London. Graduated as a linguist from Minsk State Linguistic University and working as a poet, Sukhotski places his lens in candid settings, capturing details of a reality untouched. www.kanstantsin.com
The Invisible Line is a contemporary art gallery in Dalston, London. Since 2013 we have gone through a renovation as we continue to represent a variety of local and international artists with a critical aesthetic eye.
