wonderful overview

This is a wonderful overview of Paul Coldwell's work and provides an insight into the themes and interests he has been engaged with for many years. The catalogue essay by the curator Ben Thomas is also exceptionally good, framing Coldwell's work in a wider academic setting and also giving access points for the viewer. This is truly multi-layered work and it takes an exhibition where 20 years of work is seen, to reveal some of the hidden depths. I highly recommend making the trip to see this show, give yourself time to read the essay and linger with the work and it will reward you richly.
