About

This exhibition is a curatorial project presenting works which move beyond conventional medium-specific definitions. In their practice, the featured artists convey a fluid movement between mediums and challenge traditional classifications, promoting the emergence of a new artistic lexicon. Their pieces embody the creative act of becoming, continuing their growth or decay in the viewer's presence. The meaning of the works lies not in the final object, but within the unfolding of its inherent process: whether as material transformation of brass, transformation of form or a conceptual and symbolic movement between definitions. We return to the source of creativity, undergoing an ontological research into the relationship between form and meaning, pushed into a more intuitive approach towards the metamorphic works we encounter. Featuring: Pamela Carr Durbin Lewis Eva Rudlinger Wanda Wieser Andrea Zucchini Cristian Zuzunaga Curated by Hanna Laura Kaljo Project manager: Oda Marie Bà ¥rdsdatter Eidissen Design and Marketing: Vykintas Rimkus and Sophie Banbury Assistants: Mary Heeland & Ladi Alabede (Image: still from video Theosis", Andrea Zucchini, 2012)"
