Time Will Tell at Croft Castle in Herefordshire
An evolving programme of contemporary art
Meadow Arts is pleased to announce the opening of Time Will Tell, an evolving programme of Contemporary Art, which takes place in the castle, gardens and parkland of Croft Castle in Herefordshire.
Time Will Tell explores the way we look at history and the way we represent it. The programme considers the creative potential that arises from the tensions between different interpretations of the past. On the one hand, it examines the historians' responsibility to separate facts from fictions, and on the other, the artist's ability to fill in the missing links and suggest new narratives.
Mirroring the constant shifting of history, Time Will Tell presents an evolving exhibition of new and existing works and an exciting series of events, including performances, walks and opportunities to meet the artists.
The programme revolves around artist residencies, in which a number of artists have been invited to spend time at Croft: to come and go, as they require; to research and develop new work; and to engage with the people at Croft. The work produced during these residencies will be exhibited at Croft Castle and Parkland from March to October 2013.
