Whilst digital photography is now well established throughout all genres of photography, technology and industry trends are rapidly evolving. Photographers require a solid and broad understanding of digital theory and practical workflow solutions to stay ahead of their game. This intensive, lecture and practice-based course, will equip photographers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver industry standards of digital workflow and professional practice. This course covers core digital theory and then guides you through the practical steps; from image capture, RAW file processing and management, through to sharpening and finished, final output for print. Workflow considerations such as archiving, backup and colour management will all be taken into account. These skills are useful to those currently working as or looking to set-up as professional photographers. It may also be useful to you if you work with photographers in publishing or design roles. After completing the course you will be able to: Develop and apply a digital workflow solution to your work Offer your clients the highest professional standards in the most time-efficient way Understand the theory and practice of digital imaging workflow Once you have finished the course you may want to find out more about traditional and digital printing processes and the way in which they can transform designs in our two-day course, Design For Digital Print Production. Or you may want to follow on with another advanced photography course. Level You should already have a good understanding of general photographic skills and be computer literate, with some basic Photoshop and general imaging skills. You will be keen to develop an in-depth understanding of the digital photography medium and to embrace the highest professional standards in workflow and imaging practice.
