RESIDENCIES OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND
Emanuel Almborg, Marina Camargo and Alberto Lezaca
14 December 2012 - 15th December 2012

Current residency artists Emanuel Almborg, Marina Camargo and Alberto Lezaca* conclude their residencies by opening their studios to the public, giving visitors a unique opportunity to meet with them and explore the work they have produced during their time in London.

EVENTS HAPPENING OVER THE OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND:

INSTALLATION: Folded Landscape
FRIDAY 14 DECEMBER
6-9pm
Looped screening throughout the evening

Alberto Lezaca presents a video installation that explores the formal language shared by art and architecture. Inspired by the artist's research on the now defunct penguin pool at London Zoo designed by Berthold Lubetkin in 1933, Folded Landscape questions the principle that form must always follow function in modern architecture and design.

OPEN STUDIO TOUR
FRIDAY 14 DECEMBER
7pm

Residencies Programmer Rowan Geddis leads an informal tour of the residency artists' studios, introducing the projects developed during their time at Gasworks.

SCREENINGS: MARINA CAMARGO
SATURDAY 15 DECEMBER
12-1.30pm & 3.30-6pm

Marina Camargo presents a showreel of recent film work to compliment the reseach she has pursued during her time in London.

TALK AND IN-CONVERSATION: Emanuel Almborg
SATURDAY 15 DECEMBER
2pm
Guests TBC

Emanuel Almborg discusses the research he has carried out over the course of his residency, which focusses on the democratic school of Summerhill, Suffolk and its history.

*Due to unforseen circumstances, Duke Riley is now unable to take part in this event.
