About
Open Studio Thursday 22nd November ' Friday 23rd, 12-6pm, artist talk Thursday 22nd November, 6.30pmEmploying myths and traditional sculptural motifs, Rachel Adams toys with the identity of an object and its relationship to both traditional materials and museum structures. In some works, the plinth is developed well beyond being a mere support and becomes integral to the work being crafted to the same extent as the sculpture. Drawing, craft and furniture materials, paper, yarn, fabric, and starch are used to make associations with traditional sculptural techniques such as modelling and casting.
