Artists in Conversation: 60|40 Starting point series 2012

60|40 artists Ane Christensen, Fliss Quick and Rhian Solomon will be in conversation with Sarah Wigglesworth, the architect of Siobhan Davies Studios this September. Together they will discuss the use of materials in their respective practices, and the impact of the Studios as a building on the current exhibition. The event will be chaired by Professor Hns Stofer of the RCA. ‘It starts conversations, investigates the unfamiliar and provokes makers to move in surprising directions.' This is the fourth exhibition in the series, in which three artists are commissioned to create new works in response to the building. This event is a great opportunity to listen to the architect of this RIBA-award winning building speak about designing the creative space, and to hear from some of the artists who have used it as inspiration in their work. 60|40 Starting point series 2012 runs until 23 September at Siobhan Davies Studios.
