Still Thinknig Still Life Exhibition

A unique take on a still life exhibition - “Still Thinking”. Featuring the work of Emma Forrester & Mary Hayward-Smith. Both artists have a fascination with ceramics – Mary’s attention was caught whilst at art school in Cyprus and Emma was born in Stoke -on -Trent, the home of the pottery industry. She and her family have a lifelong appreciation of ceramics. The celebration of this once great industry is apparent in Emma’s recent body of work.
Mary focus is on the exploration of pottery from Museums and galleries in London creating moving studies of these ancient pieces. Emma concentrates on expressive use of line to portray everyday objects with a contemporary twist.
