A new group exhibition at GV Art

About

GV Art is pleased to announce a new group exhibition, Graphite. The artists involved have each engaged with the various uses this often over-looked medium within contemporary art. The exhibition intends to reflect on the innovative and varying explorations by a group of artists to encourage discussion surrounding the significance of the pencil, and question the belief it is a perfunctory or archaic material. To highlight the future possibilities of graphite, samples of the Nobel Prize winning graphene will be displayed as part of the exhibition. GV Art is delighted to have involved international artists, both established and emerging, to produce a contemporary exhibition re-visiting one of the most fundamental, concise and emotive materials in the last 300 years of art history. Artists include: Lizzie Cannon, Christopher Cook, Charlie Franklin, Pippa Gatty, Dragan Ilic, Ianis Lallemand, David Marron, Nina Sellars, Anais Tondeur and William Utermohlen.
