BLANK PROMISCUITY brings together six artists who work across a variety disciplines including drawing, video, installation, Painting and performance. Each practice has a defined subjectivity and distinct sensibility; when placed in close proximity the inherent singularity of the work presented begins to bleed and fuse to form an exchange. The exhibition proposes the possible pleasure of difference while simultaneously offering a critical dialogue.

Julia Bardsley’s installation examines how sexual energy is generated. Wayne Lucas has made a series of watercolours, which tentatively tease out the physical nature of the geometric. Jacqueline Utley’s intimate still life and interior paintings mingle with the other practices to foreground the potential familiarity with domestic space. Gill Addison presents video and drawings which are taken from film stills and focus on the moments when two bodies, two subjectivities may or may not collide. Kira O'Reilly has collaborated with Jennifer Willet to create an eventful photographic presences that explore how we think and reconceptualise The Body, our own bodies, life and living systems. Simon Vincenzi has been invited to work with the space at St Paul’s House specifically for BLANK PROMISCUITY.
