Peckham Peace Wall Public Artwork Launch

Peckham Space is pleased to announce the launch of a new permanent, public artwork on Peckham Square: Peckham Peace Wall by Garudio Studiage will celebrate the wall of post-it notes of love and respect for the area which grew on Rye Lane following the disorder of last year, and will be launched on 8 August 2012 to mark this one year anniversary. Launch Ceremony Cllr Peter John, Leader of Southwark council will cut the ribbon to lauch the public artowrk with memebers of Peckham and Nunhead Community Council and Southwark Youth Council. Folllowed by a Peace Month debate and Launch Party in Peckham Space During August, Peckham Space will be working with other organisations to run a month-long programme of free events including Peckham Space Art Clubs inspired by the Wall with free, drop-in creative activities open to all. Peckham Space will also host a celebratory one day Peckham Peace Festival in Peckham Square on 19 August.
