Common All Games
The Common-all Games is a collaborative project which will take place in the Live Art Bistro (LAB)
From 26th to 30th June 2012 East Street Arts is delighted to be supporting the ground breaking Comm(o)nist Gallery TV and our collaborative project Common-all games in the LAB, Leeds City Centre.
Common-all is an ambitious project that builds on the successes of CGTV as an alternative platform of artistic practice and debate. The Comm(o)nist Gallery TV booths are placed in public spaces, acting as a node, to attract focused discussions amongst a new public, as well as providing a temporary space of artistic exchange.
We welcome artists Charlie Fox, Andrew Cooper, Anne Robinson and Jon Traynor linking a project that started as a pop up gallery with an ongoing exploration for East Street Arts on creative uses for temporary spaces. This event will encourage collective working and will explore the assumptions and histories of large scale cultural events.
We invite you to come and take part in a new exciting collective film-making experience, in a series of workshops to learn about making pictures move, with: animation, scratch film, sound, performance, editing and effects. The films will be shown at special screenings in various venues.
