About

We are very excited to have won brilliant installation artist and signmaker Bob & Roberta Smith in Culture 24”²s Connect10 competition for our Museums at Night event. As darkness falls we will transform the gallery into the world's first Museums at Nightclub — featuring Smith's Resonance FM radio show, live bands, DJ and the University of Misunderstanding — where you, the audience, become the students! Bob & Roberta Smith and Towner have set the curriculum — to include a variety of arty and irreverent acivities… Take part in each activity and collect all the stamps to graduate! We are pleased to announce that The Guillotines will be reforming to play on the night. They will be joined by Bob & Roberta Smith's band The Ken Ardley Playboys, with DJ set from Brighton's Born Bad. Bring along your best piece of dodgy art for our special exhibition — perhaps that clay sculpture from your GCSE art days that still lingers in the back of your cupboard? — the winners will be judged by Smith. And if you have a brass instrument, bring it with you to join the Biggest Brass Sound Orchestra! (we will provide a safe space for storage of instruments for the rest of the night).
