SHIFTS: Projections into the Future of the Central Belt

Four international project teams, led by the Scottish architecture practices Cadell2, Collective Architecture, GRAS and vD&B, have developed scenarios and propositions that speculate about shifts and transformations that could have happened in the years up to 2057. The projects, whilst originally focussing on movement and transport, have evolved to embrace social, cultural, economic and political aspects and the implications these will have for the built environment and its usage.
